This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between JLY and WLT Esports Club in the KPL Growth League Group Stage, initially scheduled for August 17, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET. This market will resolve to "JLY" if JLY win the match against WLT Esports Club. This market will resolve to "WLT Esports Club" if WLT Esports Club win the match against JLY. If the match is canceled (not played at all) or ends in a tie, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is postponed, the 7-day (168-hour) delay period will be measured from the originally scheduled start time of August 17, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET to the rescheduled start time. If the rescheduled start time falls more than 168 hours after the originally scheduled start time, this market will resolve to 50-50, regardless of whether the match is subsequently played. If no rescheduled start time falling within that 168-hour period has been announced by August 24, 2026 at 7:00 AM ET, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match is rescheduled to a start time within 168 hours of the originally scheduled start time, this market will resolve based on the result of the match as played. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

On Polymarket, traders in the JLY vs WLT Esports BO5 market set odds based on their collective expectations for the match outcome. Sportsbook odds typically incorporate bookmaker margins and broader public sentiment, which can differ from the decentralized, user-driven pricing in prediction markets. While both reflect probabilities, prediction markets may show sharper adjustments to new information, such as player injuries or strategy shifts, whereas sportsbooks smooth volatility to protect against losses. Comparing the two provides a view of where public traders versus institutional books place value in this market.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market uses a logarithmic market scoring rule to price contracts, aligning odds with trader balance dynamics. The current implied probability reflects the collective view of participants about which team will win or how many games the series will last. Volume of $1,141 supports these prices, and any significant shift in betting patterns—driven by roster changes, performance metrics, or tournament updates—will immediately adjust the odds. The system self-corrects continuously as new trades occur.
This market resolves around Aug 17, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final result will be based on the official match records from the KPL Growth League, ensuring an accurate and transparent settlement for all positions held.
Several key signals could shift probabilities in this market before Aug 17, 2026. Injuries or lineup adjustments for either team often trigger rapid re-pricing, as traders reassess win probabilities. Performance in earlier group-stage matches, especially against common opponents, may also reshape expectations. Coach strategies, player form, and even psychological factors like recent wins or losses can influence betting behavior. Any last-minute roster changes or tournament rule updates would likely produce noticeable movement in the market as participants adapt.
