This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between JLY and WLT Esports Club in the KPL Growth League Group Stage, initially scheduled for June 29 at 3:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "JLY" if JLY win the match against WLT Esports Club. This market will resolve to "WLT Esports Club" if WLT Esports Club win the match against JLY. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margins, while prediction markets like this one aggregate beliefs from traders who have real capital at stake. This market's odds represent a crowdsourced consensus rather than a bookmaker's calculated spread. For esports events like this match, prediction markets can sometimes offer sharper or more reactive pricing, especially when mainstream sportsbooks have limited coverage of niche gaming competitions.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing different outcomes. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current odds reflect the cumulative positions of all participants; as more traders buy shares predicting a higher game total, the price for that outcome rises, and vice versa. This continuous pricing model means the odds update in real time without requiring a centralized operator to set lines manually. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how tightly the odds track the underlying probability.
This market resolves around Jun 29, 2026, once the Honor of Kings match concludes and the final result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the actual number of games played in the best-of-five series. Until that time, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges—team roster changes, recent performance, or pre-match analysis—allowing the market price to adjust dynamically. Resolution occurs automatically once the event is officially concluded and reported.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the match begins. Team roster announcements, coaching changes, or injury updates for either JLY or WLT would likely trigger repricing. Recent tournament results, head-to-head records, and performance trends in the KPL Growth League can influence trader expectations about series length. Analyst commentary and community sentiment on esports forums may also sway positioning. Closer to the event date, pre-match interviews, patch updates to the Honor of Kings game itself, or odds movements on related markets could accelerate trading activity and move prices meaningfully.
