This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between JLY and JA Gaming in the KPL Growth League Group Stage, initially scheduled for July 7 at 8:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "JLY" if JLY win the match against JA Gaming. This market will resolve to "JA Gaming" if JA Gaming win the match against JLY. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven by trader belief and real-money conviction. Esports betting markets, particularly for regional competitions like the KPL Growth League, may see wider gaps due to lower liquidity and specialized knowledge among participants. Comparing this market's odds to major sportsbook lines can reveal where professional bettors and prediction market traders disagree on the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, traders set the price of this market through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on buy and sell volume. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each share represents a claim on a specific outcome, and the current price reflects the collective assessment of all active traders. As more capital flows into one outcome, the price moves higher; conversely, selling pressure drives it lower. This continuous repricing mechanism ensures the market stays responsive to breaking news, team announcements, or shifts in player availability that could influence the match result.
This market resolves around Jul 7, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result as recorded by the KPL or relevant esports governing body. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges. Resolution occurs automatically once the event is finalized and the winning team is officially declared.
Several catalysts could shift odds before Jul 7, 2026. Roster announcements, player injuries, or last-minute substitutions for either team would likely trigger sharp price moves. Patch updates to Honor of Kings that alter hero balance or meta strategy could favor one squad over the other. Scrim results or recent tournament performances by JLY or JA Gaming may influence trader confidence. Media reports on team morale, coaching changes, or internal conflicts could also sway sentiment. Additionally, odds may tighten as the match date approaches and more professional analysis becomes available.
