This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between JD Gaming and Talent Gaming in the King Pro League Stage 2 Group S, initially scheduled for July 16 at 8:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "JD Gaming" if JD Gaming win the match against Talent Gaming. This market will resolve to "Talent Gaming" if Talent Gaming win the match against JD Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who have real capital at stake. For this market, prediction market participants may price outcomes differently based on factors sportsbooks weight less heavily, such as team chemistry, recent scrim performance, or coaching adjustments. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue sees value the other has missed, though both aim to reflect the true probability of the match result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative trading activity and the current balance of positions held by the market. As new information surfaces—such as roster changes, recent tournament results, or head-to-head statistics—traders adjust their positions, which moves the price in real time. This mechanism ensures that the market price converges toward the true probability as more informed participants enter and exit positions.
This market resolves around Jul 16, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-five series under the official King Pro League Stage 2 Group S rules. Resolution hinges on the final match score and is confirmed through official league announcements and broadcast records. Traders should monitor for any official postponements or rescheduling that might affect the resolution date, as such changes would be communicated through the platform and official esports channels.
Several catalysts could shift market prices before resolution. Roster announcements, player injuries, or unexpected roster swaps would immediately reprrice trader expectations. Recent tournament results, scrim leaks, or public statements from coaches and players about strategy can signal team confidence and preparation level. Meta shifts in the Honor of Kings competitive environment, patch changes, or champion balance updates may favor one team's playstyle over the other. Media coverage highlighting underdog momentum or dominant team performance also influences trader sentiment. Monitoring official league communications, team social media, and esports news outlets helps traders stay ahead of price-moving information.
