Description

This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between Hero JiuJing and EDward Gaming in the King Pro League Stage 2 Group A, initially scheduled for July 15 at 8:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Hero JiuJing" if Hero JiuJing win the match against EDward Gaming. This market will resolve to "EDward Gaming" if EDward Gaming win the match against Hero JiuJing. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus and real-money commitment. For esports events like this one, prediction markets can offer sharper pricing in niche competitions where sportsbook coverage is limited. However, sportsbooks may have faster access to injury reports, roster changes, or insider information. Comparing both sources helps bettors identify value and understand how different groups assess the likelihood of outcomes.

This market resolves around Jul 15, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official series result recorded by King Pro League organizers and major esports news sources. Until that time, prices will fluctuate as traders reassess probabilities based on team form, roster updates, and other relevant developments. Early resolution is unlikely unless the match is cancelled or postponed by the league.

Several catalysts could shift prices significantly before Jul 15, 2026. Roster changes, player injuries, or unexpected roster swaps for either team would likely trigger sharp repricing. Recent tournament results, scrim outcomes, or public statements from coaches and players often influence trader sentiment. Meta shifts in the game itself—balance patches or item changes—can alter team matchup dynamics. Media coverage highlighting one team's recent form or historical head-to-head records may also sway the market. Trading volume typically spikes closer to match day as casual traders enter, potentially amplifying price swings.
