This market refers to the Honor of Kings Round 4 match between FPT Polytechnic and King of Gamers Club in the Arena of Valor Premier League Swiss Stage, initially scheduled for June 27 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "FPT Polytechnic" if FPT Polytechnic win the match against King of Gamers Club. This market will resolve to "King of Gamers Club" if King of Gamers Club win the match against FPT Polytechnic. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets price outcomes through continuous trader participation and real-money incentives. This market aggregates thousands of individual forecasts, which can yield sharper or more efficient pricing than a sportsbook's fixed lines. Comparing this market's implied probability to major esports betting sites reveals whether traders see value the bookmakers may have missed, making prediction markets useful for identifying consensus shifts or contrarian opportunities in competitive gaming.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker (AMM) system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The cost of each share reflects the collective belief in that outcome's likelihood, with prices updating continuously as new trades flow in. Higher demand for one outcome pushes its price up and implied probability higher, while lower demand depresses it. This decentralized pricing mechanism means the market reflects real-time trader conviction rather than a fixed sportsbook line, allowing prices to respond instantly to new information, team news, or betting patterns.
