Description

This market refers to the Honor of Kings match between Dragon Ranger Gaming and Royal Never Give Up in the King Pro League Stage 2 Group B, initially scheduled for July 16 at 2:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Dragon Ranger Gaming" if Dragon Ranger Gaming win the match against Royal Never Give Up. This market will resolve to "Royal Never Give Up" if Royal Never Give Up win the match against Dragon Ranger Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate on distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds based on internal models and risk management, then adjust them to balance action. Prediction markets like Polymarket derive prices from continuous trader participation—essentially crowdsourced probability estimates. This market's odds reflect what thousands of participants collectively believe will happen in the series. Sportsbook odds, by contrast, may embed wider margins and different risk assumptions. Neither is inherently more accurate; they simply represent different pricing philosophies and liquidity structures.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker (AMM) mechanism where traders buy and sell shares of outcomes, and the price adjusts algorithmically based on supply and demand. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has an implied probability derived from its current share price, and traders profit by correctly predicting which outcome occurs. The cost to buy shares rises as more traders accumulate that outcome, creating a self-correcting price discovery process. You can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, with slippage depending on order size relative to available liquidity.

This market resolves around Jul 16, 2026, once the best-of-five series concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on which team wins the required number of games to take the match. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges—team form, roster updates, or live match developments. Resolution is final once the event is officially confirmed, at which time winning shares pay out and losing shares expire worthless.

Several factors could shift trader positioning before Jul 16, 2026. Roster changes, player injuries, or roster substitutions announced by either team would likely trigger sharp repricing. Recent performance in earlier King Pro League matches, scrim results, or public statements from coaches and players can influence sentiment. Live match outcomes during the series itself will cause the most dramatic swings, as each game result updates expectations for the remaining games. Meta shifts in the game, patch notes, or changes to tournament format could also matter. Monitor team news and esports media closely for catalysts that might reshape the market.
