This market refers to the Honor of Kings Upper bracket quarterfinal 4 match between Deep Cross Gaming and Saigon Phantom in the Arena of Valor Premier League Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 5 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Deep Cross Gaming" if Deep Cross Gaming win the match against Saigon Phantom. This market will resolve to "Saigon Phantom" if Saigon Phantom win the match against Deep Cross Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real capital on outcomes. This market's odds represent a consensus forecast from participants who profit or lose based on accuracy, which can sometimes reveal signals that sportsbooks have not yet fully incorporated. Comparing the two can highlight where public opinion and professional oddsmaking diverge, though both sources offer valuable perspective on the likely result.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker pool. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective assessment of all participants; as more traders back one outcome, its price rises and implied probability increases. You can enter or exit positions at any time before the market closes, and your entry price depends on the current pool state and order size. This continuous pricing mechanism ensures that the market odds adjust dynamically based on new information and shifting expectations about the playoff series.
This market resolves around Jul 5, 2026, once the playoff series concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which team wins the best-of-five matchup in the Arena of Valor Premier League Playoffs. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive their payout, while positions on the losing side expire worthless. The resolution hinges on the final series result, confirmed through official tournament records and announcements from the esports league.
Key catalysts include roster changes, player injuries or substitutions, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head historical records in the Arena of Valor competitive scene. Pre-match analysis from esports commentators and coaching staff statements can shift trader sentiment. Live match results during the series will trigger sharp repricing as each game outcome becomes known, especially if an underdog secures early wins or a favored team stumbles. Team morale, meta-game shifts in the title, and last-minute strategic adjustments announced before games all represent potential inflection points that could move this market significantly.
