This market refers to the Honor of Kings Upper bracket quarterfinal 2 match between Buriram United Esports and Team Flash in the Arena of Valor Premier League Playoffs, initially scheduled for July 4 at 5:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Buriram United Esports" if Buriram United Esports win the match against Team Flash. This market will resolve to "Team Flash" if Team Flash win the match against Buriram United Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets like this one are driven purely by trader belief and capital allocation. Prediction markets typically incorporate real-time information more efficiently and can offer sharper odds on niche esports events where sportsbook coverage is limited. Comparing this market's implied probabilities to any available esports betting lines can reveal where the two venues disagree on team likelihood.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on the ratio of shares bought and sold for each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders who believe a particular team is underpriced can buy shares at the current ask, pushing the price up and signaling increased confidence. Conversely, selling pressure lowers the price. The system ensures continuous liquidity and transparent pricing, with the final odds reflecting the aggregate belief of all active traders at any given moment.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, once the match concludes and the winner is verified. The outcome is determined by the final result of the best-of-five series, with the winning team confirmed through credible public reporting from the Arena of Valor Premier League. Traders holding shares in the correct outcome receive their payout, while incorrect positions expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the match ending, allowing quick settlement.
Team roster changes, player injuries, or last-minute lineup announcements can shift odds significantly before the match begins. Pre-match analysis from esports commentators and recent tournament performance by either squad may influence trader positioning. In-game momentum swings during the series itself—such as an unexpected map win or a dominant early performance—often trigger sharp price moves as traders update their expectations. Social media sentiment, betting syndicates, and major esports news outlets can also catalyze rapid repricing as new information reaches the market.
