This market refers to the Honor of Kings Round 1 match between Buriram United Esports and ONE Team in the Arena of Valor Premier League Swiss Stage, initially scheduled for June 18 at 6:00AM ET. This market will resolve to "Buriram United Esports" if Buriram United Esports win the match against ONE Team. This market will resolve to "ONE Team" if ONE Team win the match against Buriram United Esports. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page. However, if https://liquipedia.net/honorofkings/Main_Page has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Prediction markets and traditional sportsbooks price events differently because they operate on distinct mechanisms. Sportsbooks set odds based on oddsmakers' analysis and manage risk through margin; prediction markets like this one derive prices from continuous trading among participants with real money at stake. This market often reflects crowd sentiment and real-time information flow more dynamically than static sportsbook lines. Comparing the two can reveal where public opinion diverges from professional bookmaking, though both aim to forecast the same underlying outcome.
On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the collective assessment of all active traders; as new information emerges or sentiment shifts, the price adjusts in real time. Each outcome contract trades independently, so you can see which result the market favors most heavily. Prices converge toward 100% across all outcomes as the event approaches resolution, rewarding accurate predictions and penalizing incorrect ones.
This market resolves around Jun 18, 2026, once the best-of-three match concludes and the winner is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by which team wins the series under the official Arena of Valor Premier League rules. Until that point, this market remains open for trading, allowing participants to adjust positions as the event unfolds. Resolution is automatic once the final result is confirmed through established esports reporting channels.
Several factors could shift this market significantly before Jun 18, 2026. Team roster changes, recent tournament performance, player injuries or roster substitutions, and pre-match analysis from esports commentators can all influence trader sentiment. Scrimmage results or practice footage leaks may provide new information about team form. Social media momentum, betting syndicates entering the market, and line movement on other esports events can create cascading effects. Real-time game performance during the actual matches will drive the most dramatic repricing as outcomes become clearer.
