Unified Resolution Criteria (Consistent across platforms)

All platforms agree that the market resolves based on the first goal scored within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time, excluding extra time and penalty shoot-outs. A canceled game with no make-up results in a "Neither" outcome.Primary resolution logic: Official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers, with credible reporting as a fallback if official stats are delayed

Core resolution logic:

  • The market resolves to the team that scores first within the first 90 minutes of regular play plus stoppage time
  • If neither team scores within this timeframe, the market resolves to "Neither"
  • Extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded from consideration
  • A postponed game remains open until completed; a canceled game with no make-up resolves to "Neither"

Edge cases & clarifications:

  • Postponement: The market remains open until the game is completed
  • Cancellation: The market resolves to "Neither" if the game is canceled entirely with no make-up
  • Delayed Official Stats: Credible reporting may be used if official statistics are not published within 2 hours after the event's conclusion
Timing: Resolution occurs after the match concludes, based on official statistics or credible reporting if necessaryOur PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because each platform attracts different user bases and has unique liquidity conditions. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one venue might see heavier trading from local fans, skewing its implied odds. Additionally, differences in market design or fee structures can influence how traders place bets, leading to divergent views on who will score first.

Injuries, weather updates, or tactical changes announced by coaches can all shift this market. Key moments like recent form, head-to-head statistics, or even last-minute lineup announcements may cause traders to adjust their bets. As the match nears, any surprise starter or strategic shift could dramatically alter implied probabilities on both platforms.
