On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each candidate winning the Czech presidential election. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market's price is determined solely by supply and demand; as more traders believe a candidate will win, the price of their shares increases, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective intelligence.
This market resolves around Oct 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results announced by the relevant electoral authorities in the Czech Republic. The candidate who receives the most votes in the election will be declared the winner, and that outcome will determine the settlement of this market. Traders who correctly predicted the winning candidate will receive a payout based on the odds at the time of their trade.
Several factors could significantly influence this market before resolution. Major shifts in public opinion, as reflected in updated polling data, would likely cause price adjustments. Significant endorsements from influential political figures could also move the market. Unexpected events, such as a candidate withdrawing from the race or a major scandal emerging, would undoubtedly impact trading activity. Furthermore, any news related to the Czech economy or geopolitical landscape could indirectly affect the perceived chances of each candidate, causing fluctuations in this market.
