On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price fluctuates based on supply and demand, driven by traders reacting to news, polls, and other relevant information. Higher demand for shares in a particular outcome will drive up its price, and vice versa, providing a dynamic assessment of the election’s potential results.
This market resolves around Oct 3, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official results announced by the relevant electoral authorities in the Czech Republic. The market will determine which candidate is declared the winner of the presidential election. Traders will then be able to claim their winnings based on the final outcome and their positions in this market.
Several signals or events could significantly move this market. Major developments in the candidates’ campaigns, such as significant policy announcements or unexpected endorsements, could shift trader sentiment. Public opinion polls released between now and Oct 3, 2026 will likely have a substantial impact, as will any unforeseen controversies or scandals involving the candidates. Economic news or geopolitical events that affect the political landscape could also influence trading activity and alter the probabilities reflected in this market.
