Frequently asked questions

Currently, prediction market odds often reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks primarily focus on public betting patterns and set odds to balance their risk, this market represents the collective wisdom of informed traders. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information sources, analytical approaches, or simply varying levels of confidence in a particular outcome. It's common to see prediction markets incorporate information—and react to events—faster than sportsbooks, but this isn’t always the case.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective predictions of the market participants. This creates a dynamic pricing system that responds to new information and changing sentiment. Currently, the market indicates a strong likelihood of a particular outcome, with the price reflecting the perceived probability of that event occurring. The total volume traded in this market is $0.

This market resolves around Oct 2, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution process is designed to be transparent and rely on publicly available information, ensuring a fair and accurate outcome for all participants in this market.

Several factors could significantly impact this market. Major political endorsements, unexpected shifts in public opinion polls, and significant campaign events—such as debates or gaffes—could all cause the odds to change.
