A Japan NPB regular season baseball game between the Hiroshima Toyo Carp and Yomiuri Giants scheduled for July 20, 2026. The outcome will be determined by which team wins the matchup.
Resolution is based on the final result of the game scheduled for July 20, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT. If the game is postponed or delayed, markets remain open until the rescheduled game concludes, provided the reschedule occurs within two days. Games cancelled or rescheduled beyond two days resolve to a fair price. Tied games resolve to 50/50.
Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and protect their margin, while prediction markets aggregate the beliefs of traders risking real money on outcomes. This market may show materially different probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, especially as new developments unfold. Comparing the two can reveal where one venue sees value the other has missed, though both aim to reflect underlying event likelihood.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order-book mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each share reflects the collective probability estimate of all active traders; as new bets flow in, prices adjust instantly. Shares trade between 0 and 100 cents, with the sum of all outcome prices equaling one dollar. This structure incentivizes accurate forecasting and allows you to enter or exit positions at any time before resolution.
This market resolves around Jul 20, 2026, once the game concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official final score and result recorded by the relevant sports authority. Until that point, prices will fluctuate as traders update their expectations based on team news, player availability, weather, and other relevant signals.
Key injury announcements, roster changes, or lineup adjustments for either team can shift trader sentiment significantly. Weather conditions at game time, recent team performance trends, and head-to-head matchup history all influence expectations. Breaking news about player availability, managerial decisions, or venue factors may trigger sharp price moves. Additionally, early game developments—such as an unexpected early lead or pitching changes—will drive further repricing as traders update their forecasts in real time.
