This group resolves based on the outcome of a professional Japanese baseball (NPB) game between the Hiroshima Carp and the Yokohama BayStars. The primary question is which team will win the game, with a tie or cancellation resulting in a 50-50 split.
In the upcoming NPB game, scheduled for September 11 at 5:00AM ET: If the Hiroshima Carp win, the market will resolve to "Hiroshima Carp". If the Yokohama BayStars win, the market will resolve to "Yokohama BayStars". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the NPB. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
If either team scores a run in the first inning of the Yokohama DeNA BayStars vs Hiroshima Toyo Carp professional Japan NPB baseball game originally scheduled for Sep 11, 2026 at 5:00 AM EDT, then the market resolves to Yes.
Prediction market odds, like those found for this market, often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while prediction markets allow anyone to express their belief, leading to odds that can be more sensitive to new information or nuanced factors. This can result in discrepancies, with prediction markets sometimes identifying mispricings that sportsbooks haven't yet accounted for. However, both offer valuable insights for those looking to assess the probabilities of various outcomes.
