This event group covers two separate NPB baseball match outcomes: one market focuses on the outcome of a Hiroshima Carp vs. Yokohama BayStars game, while the other incorrectly references a Yomiuri Giants vs. Yokohama DeNA BayStars game for resolution.
In the upcoming NPB game, scheduled for August 25 at 5:00AM ET: If the Hiroshima Carp win, the market will resolve to "Hiroshima Carp". If the Yokohama BayStars win, the market will resolve to "Yokohama BayStars". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the NPB. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
The market resolves based on the outcome of the Yomiuri Giants vs Yokohama DeNA BayStars Japan NPB game originally scheduled for August 20, 2026, at 4:45 AM EDT. If the game is postponed or delayed, the market stays open and closes after the rescheduled game finishes within two days. Cancellation or rescheduling beyond two days results in a fair price resolution. A tied game leads to a 50/50 market outcome. On Polymarket and Kalshi, prices can vary because each platform has its own user base, liquidity depth, and trading dynamics. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one venue might attract more local fans who skew the odds toward a favorite team, while the other could reflect international or more neutral traders. Differences in volume — $104,114 across both versus $104,103 in a single day — also create price drift.
