This event group covers two separate NPB baseball games involving the Hiroshima Carp and Hanshin Tigers, as well as the Chunichi Dragons and Hanshin Tigers. The outcomes of these games determine the resolution of the respective prediction markets on Kalshi and Polymarket.
In the upcoming NPB game, scheduled for August 14 at 5:00AM ET: If the Hiroshima Carp win, the market will resolve to "Hiroshima Carp". If the Hanshin Tigers win, the market will resolve to "Hanshin Tigers". If the game is postponed, this market will remain open until the game has been completed. If the game is canceled entirely, with no make-up game, or ends in a tie, this market will resolve 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the NPB. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
The market resolves based on the result of the Japan NPB game between the Chunichi Dragons and Hanshin Tigers scheduled for August 9, 2026, at 5:00 AM EDT. If the Chunichi Dragons win, their corresponding market resolves to Yes, and the Hanshin Tigers’ market resolves to No, and vice versa. If the game ends in a tie, both markets resolve to 50/50. Postponements or delays within two days of the original schedule do not affect market resolution; the market remains open until the rescheduled game concludes. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than two days after the original date, the market resolves to a fair price. Kalshi explicitly disclaims any official affiliation with the Governing League, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Injuries to key players, changes in pitching rotations, or weather delays could shift this market as they affect perceived team strength. Also, strong performance in preceding matches or trades may sway trader sentiment. Any news that changes the perceived likelihood of a win for either side can move odds on this market, especially as the game approaches.
