In the upcoming Netherlands Eerste Divisie game between Heracles Almelo and Vitesse Arnhem, scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 10:30 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Heracles Almelo vs. Vitesse Arnhem match originally scheduled for September 26, 2026 at 10:30 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Generally, prediction market odds tend to reflect a more accurate assessment of probabilities than traditional sportsbook odds, as they aggregate the wisdom of the crowd. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, and may be influenced by factors like public betting biases or promotional considerations. This market, however, is driven purely by individuals putting their capital at risk based on their beliefs about the outcome. While sportsbook odds can be a useful data point, the odds on Polymarket represent a more direct expression of collective prediction.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact scores, and the price of each share reflects the market's current belief about the probability of that score occurring. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the evolving consensus. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price, and vice versa. This dynamic pricing ensures the market remains responsive to new information.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the Heracles Almelo vs. Vitesse Arnhem match will be used to determine the winning outcome. The resolution will be based on the official result as reported by a recognized sports data provider. Traders who hold shares in the correct exact score will be paid out according to the market’s pricing at the time of resolution.
Several factors could influence trading activity in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly shift the odds. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-game analysis from respected football commentators, could also impact trader sentiment. Furthermore, significant betting activity in traditional sportsbooks might draw attention to certain outcomes, prompting traders on Polymarket to reassess their positions. A late-breaking news story about player motivation or team strategy could also move the market.
