Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and extract margin, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this market, comparing the implied probabilities on Polymarket against major sportsbook lines can reveal where the crowd's conviction differs from bookmaker pricing. Prediction markets sometimes surface sharper or contrarian views, particularly on niche outcomes like exact scores where liquidity varies.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds continuously as traders buy and sell shares in each exact score outcome. Each scoreline is represented as a separate contract, and the price of each reflects the collective probability assigned by active traders. As volume accumulates and new information emerges—team news, injury updates, or betting patterns—prices shift to reflect the latest consensus, ensuring the market remains responsive to real-world developments.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the Hearts versus Sturm Graz fixture concludes and the final scoreline is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact number of goals scored by each team at the end of regulation time. Traders holding shares in the correct scoreline receive their payout, while all other positions expire worthless. Resolution is typically confirmed within hours of the final whistle.
Key catalysts for price movement include team news such as injuries to star players, tactical shifts announced by either manager, recent form and head-to-head history, and betting syndicate activity. Weather conditions on match day, crowd dynamics, and late lineup changes can also influence trader expectations. As the fixture approaches, accumulating volume and sharp money often signal conviction shifts. Live updates during the match itself—early goals, red cards, or momentum swings—will drive rapid repricing of remaining exact score probabilities.
