Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd, potentially differing from those set by sportsbooks. Sportsbooks establish lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market relies on individuals freely trading based on their beliefs. If a significant disparity exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on Polymarket and a sportsbook. However, it’s important to remember that prediction markets and sportsbooks have different risk profiles and cater to different types of bettors.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate and new information becomes available, the price fluctuates, providing a dynamic assessment of the event's potential results. This means the odds shift based on supply and demand for shares related to the Hasman vs. Polak match.
This market resolves around Sep 29, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting.
