This event group pertains to two separate sports matches: a soccer game between Verl and Hamburg in the DFB Pokal and a tennis match between Denis Yevseyev and Matej Dodig in Hamburg. The outcomes of these matches determine the resolution of the associated prediction markets.
This market refers to the tennis match between Denis Yevseyev and Matej Dodig in the Hamburg, originally scheduled for August 11, 2026 at 4:00AM ET. This market will resolve to 'Denis Yevseyev' if Denis Yevseyev advances against Matej Dodig. This market will resolve to 'Matej Dodig' if Matej Dodig advances against Denis Yevseyev. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one player advances due to the opponent's retirement, default, or disqualification, this market will resolve to the player who advances. If the match ends in a walkover (player withdraws before the start and the other advances automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The primary resolution source will be official information from the ATP Tour. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
The markets collectively determine the result of the Verl vs Hamburg DFB Pokal match scheduled for August 24, 2026, strictly after 90 minutes of regulation time plus stoppage time, with no consideration for extra time or penalty kicks. Each market corresponds to one possible outcome: a win for Verl, a win for Hamburg, or a tie. If the match concludes with one team scoring more goals than the other within this timeframe, the respective market resolves to 'Yes.' If the teams are level after regulation time, the 'Tie' market resolves to 'Yes.' Should the match be canceled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets will resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants based on the prevailing conditions at the time of resolution.
Price differences between Polymarket and Kalshi can arise from varying user bases, liquidity levels, and trading activity. Polymarket and Kalshi can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. For example, one platform might have more traders focused on live in-play dynamics, shifting its odds faster, while the other could reflect longer-term expectations. These distinct participant pools and trading volumes often lead to divergent probabilities for the same event.
