Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the dashboard for the Mackenzie vs Bolt Halle qualification match tracks real-time odds and historical price movements as traders buy and sell shares reflecting their expectations of the match outcome. The interface displays current implied probabilities, cumulative trading volume, and a price chart showing how market sentiment has evolved over time. This live data helps traders monitor shifting expectations as new information emerges about player form, injury status, or head-to-head records leading up to the qualification round at the Halle Open.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate the collective beliefs of traders who profit by accurately forecasting outcomes. This market's odds may move faster in response to breaking news or player updates, since traders can instantly adjust positions. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where professional oddsmakers and the prediction market crowd disagree on the match result.

On Polymarket, traders set prices by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker, with each share worth one dollar if that outcome occurs. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective confidence of all active traders, and prices adjust continuously as new positions are entered. Higher prices indicate stronger market belief in that outcome. Liquidity and trading volume influence how quickly prices respond to new information, so markets with deeper order books typically show smoother price discovery than thinly traded contracts.

This market resolves around Jun 20, 2026, once the qualification match concludes and the result is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the official result of the match—whether Mackenzie or Bolt advances from the Halle Open qualification round. Traders holding shares in the winning outcome receive one dollar per share, while losing shares expire worthless. Resolution typically occurs within hours of the final point, pending confirmation from the tournament organizers or major sports news outlets.

Key catalysts include recent match results and ranking movements for both players, announced injuries or withdrawals, court surface conditions at the Halle venue, and head-to-head historical performance. Weather forecasts closer to the event date may influence expectations, particularly for grass-court play. News about player form, coaching changes, or confidence statements in media interviews can shift trader sentiment rapidly. Additionally, if either player competes in warm-up tournaments beforehand, their performance could trigger significant repricing as traders update their win probability estimates.
