Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the first-goal scorer market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for which team will score first in the Gwangju FC versus Pohang Steelers FC match. The interface displays the current price of each outcome, historical price movements, and liquidity depth. Traders use this data to monitor shifting sentiment as match day approaches. The dashboard also shows recent trades and order book depth, helping participants gauge conviction levels among other market participants and identify potential entry or exit points before the event concludes.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and manage risk, while prediction markets aggregate beliefs from traders risking real capital. This market may show stronger conviction around one outcome than conventional bookmakers, especially if informed traders have edge-case information. Comparing this market's implied probability to major sportsbook lines can reveal where consensus differs, though prediction markets typically converge toward sportsbook pricing as the event date nears.

On Polymarket, traders set prices through an automated market maker and order book, with each outcome represented as a tradeable contract. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each contract reflects the collective belief about which team scores first, expressed as a probability between 0 and 100. Liquidity providers and speculators continuously adjust bids and asks, causing prices to shift in response to new information, team news, or betting flows. The current market price is the most recent consensus estimate among active traders on the platform.

Team news—injuries to key forwards, lineup changes, or tactical shifts—can significantly alter first-goal odds. Recent form, head-to-head records, and home-field advantage also influence trader positioning. Weather conditions on match day, referee assignments, and pre-match betting flows from sharp bettors may trigger price swings. Social media sentiment, expert predictions, and late-breaking roster updates can shift conviction. As kickoff approaches, this market typically tightens around the most likely outcome, with volatility spiking if surprise team news emerges or if one side attracts heavy late action.
