Often, prediction market odds offer a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. While sportsbooks incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, prediction markets aim to be more directly reflective of true probabilities as determined by traders. This can lead to discrepancies, especially when there's significant public information or disagreement about the likely outcome. It's common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks in response to new information, as traders can instantly adjust their positions. Examining both can provide a more comprehensive view of expectations for the Guangzhou boxing match.
