Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines to balance action, while this market is driven purely by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of traders believe a sportsbook has mispriced an outcome, they can create arbitrage opportunities by trading in this market and at the sportsbook. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before a lot of betting activity occurs in either venue, as the market self-corrects toward a more accurate probability assessment.

Any news regarding player form, injuries, or changes in playing conditions could significantly shift expectations.
