Prediction market odds often differ from traditional sportsbook odds due to the wisdom of the crowd effect. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and profit margins, while this market aggregates the opinions of many individuals, potentially leading to more accurate predictions. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. Analysts often compare these odds to identify potential value or mispricings, but it’s important to remember that both represent different perspectives on the same event’s likelihood.
