Typically, prediction market odds reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, often incorporating information and analysis not readily available to traditional sportsbooks. This can lead to differences in probabilities assigned to various outcomes. While sportsbooks set initial lines based on statistical models and expert opinions, this market allows for dynamic adjustments as new information emerges and more people participate. It’s common to see prediction markets more accurately reflect true probabilities, especially as an event approaches, though discrepancies can occur due to differing risk assessments and market participants.
