Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on models and public perception, while this market allows anyone to trade on their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities. If a significant discrepancy exists, arbitrage opportunities may arise for those who can trade on Polymarket and at a sportsbook simultaneously. However, it’s important to note that sportsbooks and prediction markets have different costs and incentives, which can contribute to these differences.
