Prediction market odds in this market often differ from traditional sportsbook lines because they reflect the collective wisdom of traders rather than set bookmaker margins. While sportsbooks may include their overhead, traders on Polymarket price outcomes based on their own analysis and risk appetite. This can lead to tighter spreads or sharper shifts as new information emerges, especially when betting volumes surge. For example, a strong pre-fight performance by a boxer might narrow the gap quickly in this market, whereas sportsbooks adjust more gradually.
