Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets derive odds from live trader supply and demand. This market reflects what thousands of independent traders believe will happen, without a built-in house edge. Prediction market prices often converge toward true probability over time because traders profit by spotting mispricings. If you see this market priced differently from your sportsbook, it may signal where informed traders see value or where one venue lags in updating for new information.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that converts trader buy and sell orders into real-time odds. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Each outcome has a contract, and the price of each reflects the cumulative bets placed on it. As traders buy or sell, the price adjusts continuously. The spread between bid and ask widens or tightens based on volume and conviction. This mechanism ensures transparent, friction-reduced pricing and lets you enter or exit your position at any time before the market closes.
This market resolves around Jul 29, 2026, once the second half of the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will reflect which team won the second half period specifically, not the full match. Resolution happens after official confirmation, ensuring accuracy and fairness to all traders. Until that point, you can trade your position freely as new information emerges during the match.
Several catalysts can shift this market before resolution. Team news—injuries, lineup changes, or tactical adjustments announced before kickoff—often triggers repricing. Early match momentum, goals scored in the first half, and red or yellow cards all influence how traders reassess second-half odds. Weather conditions, crowd energy, and momentum swings during play can also sway sentiment. Real-time updates from the stadium and social media discussion of key plays will likely drive trading volume and price movement as the match unfolds.
