In the upcoming Brazil Série A game between Grêmio FBPA and SE Palmeiras, scheduled for September 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Grêmio FBPA vs. SE Palmeiras match originally scheduled for September 20, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd, often differing from initial sportsbook offerings. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, incorporating a profit margin. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs. If a significant number of people believe an outcome is more likely than a sportsbook suggests, the prediction market odds will adjust accordingly. Discrepancies can arise due to differing information, biases, or simply varying levels of confidence in a particular result.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing different exact score outcomes for the Grêmio vs. Palmeiras match. The price of each share directly reflects the probability of that outcome occurring, as perceived by the market participants. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more trades occur, the price fluctuates, providing a dynamic assessment of the event’s potential results. The market’s efficiency stems from the incentive for traders to accurately assess probabilities, as profitable trades depend on correct predictions.

Several signals could significantly impact this market. Any news regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Grêmio or Palmeiras would likely cause shifts in the odds. Changes in team form, such as a surprising win or loss in a recent match, could also influence trader sentiment. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even tactical announcements from the coaches, might lead to adjustments in the probabilities. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large volume trades on Polymarket could indicate new information or a change in market perception.
