Frequently asked questions

On Polymarket, the first goal scorer market dashboard tracks real-time odds and trading activity for which team will score first in the match between Dinamo Zagreb and FC Thun. The interface displays current price levels, historical price movements, and 24-hour volume of $210 to help traders monitor sentiment shifts. This market reflects how prediction traders are pricing the probability of each team opening the scoring, updated continuously as new trades execute and match kickoff approaches.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they operate under different incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance liability and profit margin, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus on true probability. For this match, comparing the odds here to major sportsbooks can reveal where the crowd believes value lies. Prediction markets typically react faster to new information and tend to be more efficient when traders have strong conviction, making them useful for identifying where public and professional opinion may differ.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing each outcome. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the cumulative trades placed by the community; as more traders buy shares for one team to score first, that outcome's price rises and its implied probability increases. Prices remain dynamic until market close, allowing traders to enter or exit positions at any time before resolution.

This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the match concludes and the first goal is verified. The outcome is determined by which team scores the opening goal, confirmed against credible public sources such as official match records or major sports data providers. Early resolution may occur if one team scores before the other, while no-score scenarios are handled according to standard market rules. Traders should monitor official match updates to track when resolution becomes certain.

Several factors can shift odds in this market before kickoff and during the match. Team news—such as injuries to key forwards or defensive players—can alter scoring probability significantly. Lineup announcements and tactical changes announced shortly before the match often trigger sharp price movement. Once play begins, early possession patterns, shot attempts, and goalkeeper saves can influence trader expectations about which team is more likely to break the deadlock. Weather conditions and pitch quality may also affect attacking intent and early-game momentum.
