Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. For this market, sportsbook odds may emphasize sharp-action favorites, whereas prediction traders sometimes price in longer-tail scenarios or contrarian views. Both sources offer value, but prediction markets typically update faster during live events and reward information asymmetries more directly than traditional betting venues.
On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. On Polymarket, this market is priced through an automated market maker that adjusts odds based on cumulative trader activity. Each exact-score outcome is represented as a separate contract, and the platform's pricing algorithm ensures that the sum of all outcome probabilities remains coherent. Traders buy and sell shares in their chosen outcome, and the price per share reflects the collective belief in that result. As new information emerges or trading volume shifts, prices update dynamically to reflect changing market consensus.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the match between Dinamo Zagreb and Thun concludes and the final score is verified against credible public sources. The outcome is determined by the exact scoreline at the end of regulation time, excluding extra time or penalty shootouts unless the competition format specifies otherwise. Resolution occurs after the event is officially confirmed and reported by recognized sports authorities, ensuring accuracy and fairness for all traders.
Team news—injuries, suspensions, or lineup changes—typically triggers sharp price movement in exact-score markets. Recent form, head-to-head history, and weather conditions closer to kickoff can also shift trader expectations. Live match events such as early goals, red cards, or momentum swings often cause rapid repricing as traders update their probability estimates in real time. Pre-match press conferences and official team announcements may reveal tactical adjustments or roster surprises that reshape the odds across all possible scorelines.
