Two national soccer teams will compete in an international friendly match. The outcome depends solely on the result after the full 90 minutes of play plus any stoppage time added by the referee, without considering extra time or penalty shootouts.
The event resolves based on the result of the Gibraltar vs Sao Tome and Principe professional international friendly soccer match scheduled for September 23, 2026. A market resolves to Yes if the specified team wins after 90 minutes plus stoppage time. If the match ends in a tie, the Tie market resolves to Yes. If the game is cancelled or rescheduled to more than 48 hours beyond the original date, all markets resolve to a fair price. Extra time and penalty shootouts do not affect the resolution.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often set initial lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, but may also incorporate a margin for profit. This market, however, is driven by individuals willing to put their capital behind their beliefs, potentially leading to more accurate probabilities, especially as more information becomes available. Discrepancies can arise due to differing opinions, access to information, or simply variations in risk assessment between market participants and bookmakers.

Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding team injuries, changes in coaching staff, or unexpected player suspensions for either Gibraltar or Sao Tome and Principe could significantly shift expectations. Furthermore, pre-match analysis from sports commentators, updated betting odds from sportsbooks, and even weather forecasts could all contribute to price movements. Public sentiment, as reflected in social media discussions, might also play a role, although to a lesser extent, as traders react to perceived advantages or disadvantages for either team.
