Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-22 15:00 UTC: if FOKUS Sakura wins the series, the market will resolve to "FOKUS Sakura"; if GIANTX GC wins the series, the market will resolve to "GIANTX GC". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and traditional sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different pricing mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus and real-time supply and demand. For esports events, prediction markets can sometimes react faster to roster updates or scrim results, whereas sportsbooks may move more cautiously. Comparing the two can reveal where public sentiment on this market differs from professional oddsmakers' assessments.
On Opinion, this market is priced through continuous order flow, where traders buy and sell shares representing each possible outcome. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the collective belief of all active traders at any moment. As new evidence surfaces—such as team announcements, recent match results, or player performance data—traders adjust their positions, moving prices up or down. This dynamic pricing mechanism ensures the odds stay aligned with real-time information and community conviction.
This market resolves around Jul 22, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result as documented by the esports league or tournament organizer. Until that point, traders can continue to buy and sell shares as new information emerges. Resolution is final once the event is officially concluded and the winner is announced through established competitive channels.
Several factors could shift this market significantly before resolution. Roster changes, player injuries, or surprise substitutions announced by either team would likely trigger sharp price movement. Recent scrim results, public statements from coaches, or meta shifts in the game patch could also influence trader positioning. Tournament bracket announcements, seeding implications, or head-to-head records between the teams may prompt reassessment. Additionally, any news about team morale, coaching changes, or competitive momentum in the lead-up to the match could drive volatility in trader sentiment.
