During the 2026 Men's FIFA World Cup, this event concerns which player will score the first goal for Ghana (excluding own goals).
The market resolves Yes for whichever Ghanaian player scores the first legitimate goal during the 2026 Men's FIFA World Cup. Own goals are excluded from consideration; if the first goal credited to Ghana is an own goal, resolution is based on the next goal scored by a Ghanaian player that is not an own goal. Goals scored during regulation time, stoppage time, and extra time all count toward this market. Goals scored during penalty shootouts do not count. All players who do not score the first qualifying goal resolve to No, regardless of whether they participated in any match. If no Ghanaian player scores a goal throughout the tournament, the No Goalscorer outcome resolves Yes. Players are evaluated only on whether they score the first qualifying goal; participation in matches is irrelevant to resolution for non-first-goalscorers.
Prediction market odds on Kalshi reflect real-money trader consensus and often diverge from traditional analyst forecasts. While sports analysts may rely on historical statistics, team form, and player injury reports, prediction markets incorporate live information and trader conviction through direct financial incentives. Comparing Kalshi odds to published expert predictions and team news can reveal where the market is pricing in factors analysts may have overlooked or underweighted. This gap often signals opportunities for informed traders.

The outcome is final once the first goal is officially recorded by the match officials. Markets typically settle within hours of the match conclusion after official confirmation. Traders should monitor team lineups, injury updates, and tactical announcements in the days before the match, as these factors directly influence which players are most likely to be on the pitch and in scoring positions.
Key catalysts for Ghana: First Goalscorer odds include player injuries or absences announced before the match, lineup confirmations, and opponent strength. Tactical shifts, such as Ghana adopting a more attacking formation, can boost odds for attacking players. Recent player form, goal-scoring streaks, and set-piece specialization also influence market pricing. News of suspensions, visa delays, or late roster changes can rapidly reprrice contracts. As match day approaches, live team news and final squad announcements typically drive the most significant odds movements on Kalshi.
