Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as determined by traders. This market may show a different probability for a Germany or Bulgaria win than you’d find at a sportsbook, as it’s based on the collective wisdom of the crowd and the willingness of individuals to take on risk. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially as new information emerges.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism, where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the outcome. The price of these shares directly reflects the implied probability of that outcome occurring. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the event. The more shares bought for a particular outcome, the higher its price will climb, indicating increased confidence in that result. This dynamic pricing system aims to create a highly accurate forecast.
This market resolves around Sep 26, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the result of the Germany vs. Bulgaria match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score and official result will be used to determine the winning outcome in this market. Traders will be able to claim their winnings based on the final verified result. It’s important to note that the resolution process relies on publicly available and widely accepted sources to ensure a fair and accurate outcome for all participants.
