These markets evaluate how many points will be scored in the second half of a college football game between Georgia State and UCF. Each market has a different threshold for the total points scored after halftime, including any overtime periods.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams combined during the second half (including overtime) of the Georgia St. vs UCF college football game scheduled for Sep 19, 2026. Each market has a specific threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed that threshold, the market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored from the start of the second half through the end of regulation or overtime count. If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of its original scheduled start time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the final official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours of the scheduled time, all markets will resolve to a fair price, taking into account all known information up to that point.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while Kalshi allows traders to directly assess the probability of an outcome. This can lead to differences in implied probabilities. Sportsbook odds are heavily influenced by public betting patterns and liability management, whereas this market is driven by informed traders expressing their genuine beliefs about the game's outcome. It's common to see discrepancies, especially as new information becomes available.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous double auction. Traders buy and sell contracts representing their belief about whether the Georgia St vs UCF 2nd half total will be over or under a specific number. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of these contracts reflects the market's collective probability assessment. As more traders participate and new information emerges, the price adjusts accordingly. A higher price indicates a greater probability of the total being over the specified number, while a lower price suggests the opposite. This dynamic pricing mechanism allows for a real-time assessment of expectations.
This market resolves around Sep 20, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final score of the 2nd half of the Georgia St vs UCF game will be used to determine whether the total points scored are above or below the threshold defined by the market. The resolution will be based on official game statistics, ensuring a transparent and objective determination of the result. Traders will then be paid out according to their positions in the market, reflecting the accuracy of their predictions.
Several factors could influence the price of this market before resolution. Any news regarding key player injuries for either Georgia St or UCF would likely have a significant impact.
