This set of markets tracks the point differential in a college football game between Georgia State and Kennesaw State, allowing participants to bet on whether the winning team will exceed specific point margins. Each market corresponds to a different threshold, enabling varied levels of risk and reward based on expected score outcomes.
All markets resolve based on the official final point differential of the Georgia State vs Kennesaw State college football game scheduled for September 12, 2026. If Kennesaw State wins, markets resolve to Yes if their victory margin exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., over 27.5 points, over 24.5 points, etc.). Conversely, if Georgia State wins, markets resolve to Yes if their victory margin exceeds the specified threshold (e.g., over 1.5 points, over 2.5 points, etc.). If the game is postponed but commences within 48 hours of the original start time, all markets remain active and resolve based on the final result. If the game fails to start within 48 hours of its scheduled time, all markets resolve to a fair price, ensuring equitable treatment for all participants under these contingency conditions.
Prediction market odds often reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set their lines based on internal models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to trade based on their own analysis. It’s common to see discrepancies, especially before significant events or when new information emerges. These differences can present arbitrage opportunities for informed traders, as the market adjusts to incorporate a broader range of perspectives than a typical sportsbook might.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing different point spreads. The price of each contract fluctuates based on supply and demand, reflecting the collective belief of traders about the likely outcome. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders are incentivized to provide accurate predictions, as profitable traders are rewarded and those with inaccurate predictions may incur losses. This dynamic pricing mechanism aims to converge towards a fair and efficient assessment of the game's spread.
This market resolves around Sep 13, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final spread will be determined by the actual point difference between the Georgia St. and Kennesaw St. scores at the end of the game. The market will settle to 100 if the actual spread falls within the range of contracts traded, and to 0 otherwise. Traders holding contracts on the winning side of the spread will receive a payout, while those on the losing side will forfeit their stake.
Several factors could influence the price movement of this market. News regarding key player injuries or suspensions for either Georgia St. or Kennesaw St. would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather forecasts, particularly if they are expected to affect the game's style of play, could also shift the market. Additionally, any major shifts in public sentiment, perhaps driven by expert analysis or social media trends, could lead to increased trading volume and price fluctuations in this market.
