Typically, prediction market odds reflect a different set of information and incentives than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks often incorporate a 'vig' or commission into their odds, while prediction markets aim to represent the true probability of an event occurring, as assessed by traders. While sportsbooks may initially set odds based on statistical models and expert analysis, this market allows for dynamic adjustments based on a wider range of information and the 'wisdom of the crowd.' It’s common to see differences emerge as new information becomes available.
