Frequently asked questions

Often, prediction market odds reflect a different perspective than those found at traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and incorporate a profit margin, while this market is driven purely by the collective wisdom of traders. If there's a significant discrepancy between the two, it could indicate that the crowd believes the sportsbook is mispricing the event. It's also common to see prediction markets move faster than sportsbooks to incorporate new information, as they are continuously updated with each trade.

On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism. Traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in the likelihood of each outcome. As more shares are purchased for a particular outcome, its price increases, reflecting a higher implied probability. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of a share directly corresponds to the probability of that outcome occurring, allowing traders to express their views and profit if their predictions are accurate. This dynamic pricing ensures the market reflects the most up-to-date collective assessment.

This market resolves around Sep 18, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. Resolution will be based on the official result of the Gavryshko vs. Chepurnyi match, as determined by the governing sporting body. The platform will verify the result against these sources to determine which outcome is declared the winner and distribute payouts accordingly. Traders should monitor official sources for the final result as the resolution date approaches.

Several factors could influence the price of this market before Sep 18, 2026. Any news regarding player injuries, changes in coaching strategies, or unexpected performance in prior matches could shift trader sentiment.
