In the upcoming Premier Division (Ireland) game between Galway United FC and Shamrock Rovers, scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET: This market will resolve based on the final score of the Galway United FC vs. Shamrock Rovers match originally scheduled for October 16, 2026 at 2:45 PM ET, considering only the result at the end of 90 minutes of regulation plus stoppage time; extra time and penalty shoot-outs are excluded. If the actual score is not one of the explicitly listed outcomes, the market resolves to "Any Other Score." If the match is postponed, the market will remain open until it is completed; if it is canceled with no make-up game, the market resolves to "0-0." The primary resolution source for this market is the official statistics of the event as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. However, if the governing body or event organizers have not published final match statistics within 2 hours after the event's conclusion, data from Flashscore may be used; if Flashscore data is unavailable, data from Sofascore may be used; if neither is available, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead. All markets will settle based on the official final result as recognized by the governing body or event organizers. Revisions to officially declared final scores made after market resolution will not be accounted for in determining the outcome. If no acceptable data is available within 24 hours of the event's conclusion, this market will resolve 50-50, or to "Draw" where applicable.

Prediction market odds often reflect the collective wisdom of a diverse group of traders, potentially offering a different perspective than traditional sportsbooks. Sportsbooks set their lines based on statistical models and expert analysis, while this market allows anyone to express their beliefs with real money. As a result, you may find that the implied probabilities from this market diverge from those offered by sportsbooks, especially as new information becomes available or public sentiment shifts. It’s valuable to compare both to form a well-rounded view of the likely outcome.
On Polymarket, this market is priced through a continuous auction mechanism where traders buy and sell shares representing their belief in each possible exact score. The price of a share directly corresponds to the implied probability of that outcome. As more traders participate, the prices adjust to reflect the collective assessment of the event’s likelihood. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The market’s price movements are driven by supply and demand; if many traders believe a particular score is likely, they will buy shares, driving up the price and increasing its implied probability.
This market resolves around Oct 16, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the final result of the Galway United vs. Shamrock Rovers match is verifiable from credible public reporting. The exact score at the end of regulation time will determine the winning outcome in this market. Any extra time or penalty shootouts will not be considered for resolution purposes. Traders will be able to claim their winnings once the result is officially confirmed and reflected in the market’s settlement.
Several factors could influence the trading activity and price movements in this market. Any news regarding team injuries, suspensions, or changes in coaching staff could significantly impact the perceived probabilities of different exact scores. Unexpected weather conditions on match day, or even pre-match analysis from reputable sports commentators, could also shift trader sentiment. Furthermore, major events within the broader League of Ireland Premier Division season, such as other teams’ results, might indirectly affect the market as they influence overall expectations for both Galway United and Shamrock Rovers.
