Typically, prediction market odds reflect a wisdom-of-the-crowd perspective, often differing from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks incorporate a profit margin into their odds, while this market is driven purely by traders’ beliefs about the outcome. If a significant discrepancy exists between the two, arbitrage opportunities may emerge, where traders can profit by simultaneously betting on both venues. However, it’s important to remember that prediction markets are forward-looking and can react quickly to new information, potentially leading to faster price adjustments than sportsbooks.
