Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-28 15:00 UTC: if FOKUS Sakura wins the series, the market will resolve to "FOKUS Sakura"; if G2 Gozen wins the series, the market will resolve to "G2 Gozen". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different mechanisms. Sportsbooks set lines to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets are driven by trader consensus—each participant risking real capital on their belief. This market aggregates thousands of individual forecasts into a single probability, which can be more efficient than a sportsbook's fixed line, especially as match day approaches. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or where conventional oddsmakers may be slow to adjust.
On Opinion, this market is priced through continuous trading: buyers and sellers submit orders, and the current bid-ask spread reflects the live consensus probability. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. Traders who believe the outcome is more likely than the current price suggests will buy, pushing odds upward; those who disagree will sell, driving them lower. This dynamic pricing mechanism means the market adjusts instantly to breaking news, team roster changes, or injury reports, ensuring the odds stay aligned with real-time expectations.
This market resolves around Jul 28, 2026, once the match concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public reporting. The outcome is determined by the final score and official match result as confirmed by the esports governing body or tournament organizer. Until that point, traders can adjust positions as new information surfaces—team announcements, player performance trends, or pre-match analysis. Resolution is automatic once the event is finalized and reported.
Several catalysts could shift odds before the match begins. Roster changes, player injuries, or unexpected roster swaps for either team would likely trigger sharp moves. Recent tournament results, scrim performance leaks, or public statements from coaches and players can sway trader sentiment. Meta shifts in the game itself—balance patches or map rotations—may also influence expectations. Media coverage, betting syndicates entering the market, and social media momentum can amplify volatility. Watch for official announcements and community discussion to stay ahead of price movements.
