Description

This event group covers a Counter-Strike 2 match between Aurora Gaming and FURIA scheduled for June 20, 2026 at 9:45 AM EDT as part of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 playoffs. Multiple prediction platforms have created markets on the outcome of this single match, with varying resolution rule specifications.

PredictionHero - Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA)

Divergence Detected

Issue: Three platforms have materially different handling of forfeit/walkover scenarios and divergent timeout/deadline rules. Kalshi lacks explicit deadline; Limitless enforces July 20 UTC hard stop; Predict uses relative 7-day delay threshold.Hero tip: Clarify with each platform operator whether a pre-match forfeit by one team counts as a decisive win (Kalshi/Limitless view) or a 50-50 push (Predict view). Lock in your position before June 20 to avoid ambiguity. If the match is delayed, Predict's 7-day rule (June 27 deadline) is stricter than Limitless's July 20 rule.

Critical divergence points:

  • Kalshi: Resolves YES if either Aurora Gaming or FURIA wins IEM Cologne Major 2026 match scheduled Jun 20, 2026 9:45 AM EDT. Forfeit, disqualification, or walkover treated as a win for the declared winner. No explicit deadline or timeout rule stated.
  • Limitless: Resolves YES if named team (Aurora Gaming or FURIA) wins the match. Forfeit, disqualification, or walkover resolves to declared winner. Hard deadline: July 20, 2026 23:59 UTC; if no official result by then, resolves to Other.
  • Predict: Resolves to Aurora Gaming or FURIA based on match winner. If match canceled, ends in tie, or delayed beyond 7 days without winner, resolves 50-50. If forfeit/disqualification/walkover occurs before match start, resolves 50-50. If forfeit occurs after match begins, resolves to winning team. Resolution source: HLTV.org within 2 hours post-conclusion.
Our PredictionHero Resolution Divergence Alerts (RDA) are there to help users identify potential differences across platforms. They do not replace or supersede the official rules and description of any prediction market. Users are solely responsible for reviewing and understanding the applicable rules and resolution criteria before placing any trade or bet. If you notice a potential inconsistency, discrepancy, or error in an alert, please report it to our team so we can review and improve the accuracy of our data.

Kalshi

The market resolves to Yes if either FURIA or Aurora Gaming wins the IEM Cologne Major 2026 CS2 match scheduled for June 20, 2026 at 9:45 AM EDT. Since both possible match outcomes (FURIA victory or Aurora Gaming victory) result in a Yes resolution, this market will resolve affirmatively regardless of which team prevails in the matchup.

Predict

This market refers to the Counter-Strike Semifinal 2 match between Aurora Gaming and FURIA in the IEM Cologne Major Playoffs, initially scheduled for June 20 at 9:45AM ET. This market will resolve to "Aurora Gaming" if Aurora Gaming win the match against FURIA. This market will resolve to "FURIA" if FURIA win the match against Aurora Gaming. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. The resolution source for this market will be official information from https://hltv.org. However, if https://hltv.org has not published final results within 2 hours after the event’s conclusion, a consensus of credible reporting may be used instead including video evidence. In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.

Limitless

This market refers to the match between Aurora Gaming and FURIA in the IEM Cologne Major 2026, scheduled for Jun 20, 2026. This market resolves to "YES" if the team named in the title wins in the specified match. Otherwise, the market will resolve to "NO." If either team loses by forfeit, disqualification, or walkover for any reason, this market will resolve to the team declared the winner, regardless of whether the match has started or when the decision is made. If the match is not completed with an official result by July 20, 2026, 23:59 UTC, the market will resolve to "Other."

Frequently asked questions

Prediction markets and sportsbooks price outcomes differently because they operate under distinct incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance action and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets rely on trader consensus—the collective wisdom of participants risking real capital. Prediction markets often reflect sharper, more efficient pricing because traders compete to identify mispriced outcomes. However, sportsbooks may move faster on breaking news or injury reports. Comparing this market's implied probabilities to major sportsbook lines can reveal where consensus diverges and highlight potential value opportunities.

Kalshi and Predict can show different odds on the same event due to distinct user bases, liquidity pools, and fee structures. Kalshi and Predict can show different implied probabilities for the same outcome because of liquidity, fee structure, participant mix, and how each venue defines the contract. Platform-specific factors—such as deposit methods, regulatory constraints, or trading volume concentration—create temporary mispricings. Additionally, different trader demographics may have varying information access or risk appetites. These gaps typically narrow as arbitrageurs exploit the spread, but during low-liquidity periods or ahead of major news, divergence can persist. Monitoring both platforms helps you identify which side of this market is undervalued.
