Opinion
In the upcoming VCT best-of-series match scheduled for 2026-07-23 11:45 UTC: if EDward Gaming wins the series, the market will resolve to "EDward Gaming"; if FunPlus Phoenix wins the series, the market will resolve to "FunPlus Phoenix". The series winner is the first team to win a majority of games. Individual games remade due to technical issues do not count as wins toward the series. If the match is canceled (not played at all), ends in a tie, or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without a winner determined, this market will resolve to 50-50. If the match begins but is not completed, and one team wins due to the opponent's forfeiture, disqualification, or walkover, this market will resolve to the team who wins. If the match ends in a forfeit, disqualification, or walkover (team withdraws before the start and the other wins automatically), this market will resolve to 50-50. In cases where a team's listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution Source: official VCT broadcast and https://valorantesports.com/; community coverage on vlr.gg may be used as a supplementary source. Note: Opinion will resolve strictly based on the first officially published result from the designated source. Any subsequent revisions will not affect this resolution.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance their book and manage risk, while prediction markets let traders directly express their beliefs through buying and selling shares. This market aggregates the collective judgment of traders who have real money at stake, which can sometimes reveal insights that traditional sportsbooks price differently. Comparing the two can highlight where the crowd sees value or where consensus differs, though both sources provide useful reference points for assessing the likely outcome.
On Opinion, this market is priced through an order-book mechanism where traders submit bids and asks for shares tied to each possible outcome. On Opinion, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price of each outcome reflects the last executed trade, and the spread between buy and sell orders shows the current liquidity and conviction around that result. As new information emerges or trader sentiment shifts, prices adjust in real time. You can place limit or market orders to enter or exit your position, and the platform matches buyers and sellers continuously throughout the trading window.
This market resolves around Jul 23, 2026, once the event concludes and the result is verifiable from credible public sources. The outcome will be confirmed based on the official match result, ensuring clarity and fairness for all traders. Until that point, prices will continue to fluctuate as new information and analysis influence trader behavior. Resolution is final once the event is settled, and all positions are paid out according to the outcome.
Several factors may shift prices before this market resolves. Team roster changes, injuries to key players, or recent performance trends can alter expectations about competitive strength. Pre-match analysis from esports commentators and community discussion often influences trader sentiment. Betting patterns and line movement on traditional sportsbooks may also signal shifting confidence. As the event date approaches, any official announcements about format changes or team preparation could trigger repricing. Real-time developments during the lead-up period typically drive the most significant moves, as traders incorporate fresh information into their positions.
