These markets evaluate different thresholds of points scored in the second half of a college football game between Fresno State and USC. Each threshold represents a specific point total that, if exceeded by the combined scores of both teams, determines the outcome of that particular market.
All markets resolve based on the total points scored by both teams in the second half (excluding overtime) of the Fresno St. vs USC college football game scheduled for Sep 4, 2026. Each market has a unique threshold: if the combined second-half points exceed the specified threshold (e.g., 2.5, 6.5, 9.5, etc.), that market resolves to Yes; otherwise, it resolves to No. For all markets, only points scored during the second half (excluding overtime) count. If the game is postponed but starts within 48 hours of the original time, the markets remain open and resolve based on the official result. If the game does not start within 48 hours, all markets resolve to a fair price. Kalshi is not affiliated with the NCAA, and all trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Typically, prediction market odds reflect the wisdom of the crowd and can differ from traditional sportsbook odds. Sportsbooks set lines based on their own models and aim to balance action on both sides, while this market allows anyone to express their belief about the outcome. If many people believe the sportsbook is undervaluing a particular result, they can buy contracts, driving up the price and potentially creating a divergence. It's common to see prediction markets more accurately forecast probabilities, especially as event time approaches.
On Kalshi, this market is priced through a continuous order book where traders buy and sell contracts representing their predictions. The price of a contract represents the probability of the total points scored in the second half falling below that value. On Kalshi, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. For example, a contract priced at 60 means traders are indicating a 60% chance the total will be under 60 points. As more traders participate, the price adjusts to reflect the collective assessment of the likely outcome, creating a dynamic and real-time forecast.
This market resolves around Sep 5, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The final total points scored in the second half of the Fresno St vs USC game will be used to determine whether contracts settle above or below the contract price. All contracts will settle to 100 if the outcome is below the contract price, and 0 if the outcome is at or above the contract price. The resolution will be based on official game statistics.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding injuries to key players on either the Fresno St. or USC teams would likely cause movement. Changes in weather conditions, particularly if they are expected to impact scoring, could also shift the market. Furthermore, significant betting activity or large-volume trades on Kalshi itself can create price fluctuations as traders react to new information or adjust their predictions based on evolving sentiment.
