On Limitless, this market is priced through a continuous order book, where traders buy and sell contracts representing the outcome of four or more sets being played. The price of a contract reflects the market's assessment of the probability of that outcome. As more people buy contracts, the price increases, indicating a higher perceived chance of the event happening. On Limitless, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The price movements are driven by supply and demand, and traders aim to profit by correctly anticipating the outcome and trading accordingly. The current price represents the collective forecast of all participants.
This market resolves around Sep 12, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The resolution will be based on the official result of the Frances Tiafoe versus Ben Shelton match, specifically whether four or more total sets were played. The official match result will be used to determine whether the 'yes' or 'no' outcome is triggered. Traders holding contracts on the winning side will receive a payout based on the final market price at resolution.
Several factors could influence the price of this market. Any news regarding player fitness, such as an injury to either Tiafoe or Shelton, would likely have a significant impact. Changes in weather conditions at the tournament location could also play a role, potentially favoring one player's style over the other. Additionally, the performance of both players in preceding matches leading up to their encounter could shift expectations and trading activity. Finally, major shifts in public opinion, even without concrete news, can sometimes drive price movements in this market.
