If the match begins but is not completed and no winner is officially declared, this market will resolve 50-50. If the match does not begin for any reason — including cancellation, pre-match withdrawal, walkover, or forfeit before play begins — or is delayed beyond 7 days from the scheduled date without play beginning, this market will resolve 50-50. Resolution will be based on official FIVB results.

Prediction market odds and sportsbook odds often diverge because they reflect different participant bases and incentive structures. Sportsbooks set odds to balance liability and lock in profit margins, while prediction markets aggregate trader beliefs through continuous price discovery. This market may show higher or lower implied probabilities than traditional sports betting sites, depending on which venue's participants have stronger conviction or better information. Comparing the two can reveal where the crowd sees value or disagreement.
On Polymarket, traders set the odds by buying and selling outcome shares in an automated market maker system. On Polymarket, prices reflect that venue's order book, liquidity, and how traders price the outcome right now. The current implied probability reflects the balance between buy and sell pressure; as more traders favor one outcome, its price rises and the competing outcome falls. You can enter or exit positions at any time before resolution, and the market price updates continuously based on order flow. Liquidity and trading volume directly influence how quickly prices respond to new information.
This market resolves around Jul 4, 2026, with the outcome confirmed once the event is verifiable from credible public reporting. The winning outcome will be determined by the final result of the match as documented by authoritative sports sources. Until that point, traders can adjust positions based on team news, injuries, or other developments. Resolution is automatic once the event concludes and the result is officially recorded.
Key player injuries, lineup announcements, or recent team performance could shift trader sentiment significantly. Tactical changes, coaching decisions, or unexpected roster updates may trigger repricing as participants reassess win probabilities. Weather conditions, venue factors, or historical head-to-head records might also influence trading activity. Major news cycles or analyst commentary can accelerate price movement, especially closer to kickoff when information becomes more concrete and traders finalize positions.
